Evgeni Malkin, out of the Pittsburgh Penguins since March 9 with an upper-body injury, skated Sunday morning, according to NHL.com.

The 26-year-old Malkin, the league’s reigning MVP, has 24 points in 21 games for Pittsburgh this season.

Despite his absence from the lineup, the Penguins continue their solid play, completing their ninth consecutive win with a victory over the Boston Bruins on Sunday.

While Malkin skated prior to the game, the Penguins could be facing more injury problems, this time on their blue line.

Kris Letang left Sunday’s game with a “lower-body injury” and did not return.

If they can continue to scratch and claw through these injury bugs and get healthy next month, they’re gonna be hard to stop….love it!

So, if we put Letang’s torso/head on Malkin’s hips/legs, what position would “Kris Malkinstein” play? Where’s that Soup Can Army weirdo when you need him? I’ll bet he could tell us all about body parts of these guys, given all the freaky fantasies he’s had.

NHL really needs to update their disclosure policies for injuries. Why cant they say whats wrong with Letang and Malkin and give an accurate return time? Absolutly no reason they cant.
