How come no one is talking about Marchand jumping on Riberio? Hendricks jumped Horton and same for Marchand. Who cares.

You also miss the point of what Hendricks did. Thornton came after him but he fought McQuaid therefore taking 2 guys to the box. He also fought Horton because he is a top player. If he fights Thorton or someone else, its a wash. He takes a top forward then its a good move.

The Bruins play a physical but CLEAN game. The fact that teams come in and try to out-physical them…or taunt them into fights (which is exactly what Hendricks was doing the first half of the game)….and then cry when their players get their asses handed to them…is a joke. The Bruins have a lot of tough players….and alot of finesse players. They have the right kind of mix needed to contend in today’s NHL. Hendricks FOOLISHLY thought he was gonna get off easy by choosing McQuaid (who is actually a better fighter than Thornton). But he was running around taking shots at Bruins players all game…….he got what he asked for……. Look in the mirror Capitals…don’t become the Montreal Canadiens and complain that people are playing HOCKEY and not basketball out there,

If the Caps aren’t happy, they should probably take a look at what Hendricks had been doing all game which resulted in this. Haven’t seen antagonizing like that since a Canadians or Canucks game. He’s a scrappy dude that’s for sure, but he wasn’t getting off that ice without a fight. Was funny to watch unfold.

Boston, Baltimore and Philthy fans constantly show themselves to be classless and take pride in that. You don’t see that kind of behavior in Washington. I don’t know if its because we have more educated fans or if its a matter of wealth but I’ve personally seen fans correct the bad behavior of people at the Verizon center. The kind of antics that were going on near the glass during that game just wouldn’t happen without a dismissal. With all the young children that sit near the glass can enjoy our games without guttersnipes ruining things. As much as I would have enjoyed Hendricks knocking that Bruins fan on his butt, I’m glad he chose stay classy. Boston could learn a thing or two from
Matt . Hardnosed player that doesn’t instigate or flop all over the ice.

Ovi was on the ice today ? I thought he was a healthy scratch. Edwards wants to be the Tom Heinsohn of the Bs without the street cred. At least Brickley is relatively neutral, while being arguably the best color guy in the league. Although I do on occasion pine for the incoherent rumblings of Turk Sanderson.

Oh man Jack Edwards is one of the worst! But at least he is funny…Joe B is just an idiot. Nobody is as bad as Paul Steigerwald though! Oh jeez!! Doc Emerick is awful, every shot is almost a goal in his eyes!
I love listening to regional broadcasters and hearing how much they lean to their team…but Joe B and Locker are completely blind to anything bad relating to the Caps. I don’t want that at all for my favorite teams announcer…I want them to be subjective and open to criticizing bad play. Rooting for them and leaning towards, absolutely. But being stupid about it, no way! When was the last time you heard them bash Ovi for his lackluster play? They don’t, they continue to dub him the great 8 and exclaim that he can do no wrong. At least when Malkin sucked in 2010, Steigerwald would complain about his lack of focus. I don’t want the announcer to pretend like my guy held his own in a fight, when he clearly got his but kicked!
