Video: Kane’s spinning backhander highlights Blackhawks’ blowout

Mar 16, 2013, 10:50 PM EST

The Chicago Blackhawks absolutely dominated the Dallas Stars on Saturday, beating them 8-1 (and probably silencing some who worried that the elite team might be running out of steam to an extent).

Plenty of ‘Hawks had great nights; Patrick Kane, Viktor Stalberg, Jonathan Toews, Nick Leddy and Bryan Bickell had three-point nights while Marian Hossa was among the players with two points.

The evening’s best highlight goes to Kane, however, as he conjured former ‘Hawks spin-o-rama master Denis Savard with this beauty of a backhander:

Total domination by the Hawks tonight. Take that effort to Denver and we should see a similar beatdown Monday night.

Boy, what happened to the Stars? Gave the Hawks all they could handle on the last trip to big D… Almost felt sorry for Lehtonen tonight (not really ); Let’s Go Hawks!!

Stars owner was in the building. Wonder if the stars are pulling the same stunt as the rangers, playing to get their coach fired. God i hope so. I really hope they fire that clown.

Wonder how many picked up and understood the Savoir Faire call

Talk is Patrick refined his take on the Savardian Spinnerama when working his way through a cabbies’ picket during the recent Taxi strike out at O’Hare. Pure magic…

Love Kane, but the goalie was worse than Kane was good.
