Video: Joffrey Lupul scores in first game (and shift) back from injury

Considering their four-game losing streak, the Toronto Maple Leafs needed a boost on Saturday.

They received an early one from Joffrey Lupul, who didn’t just score in his first game back after forearm surgery … he scored in his first shift:

That’s actually also Lupul’s first point of 2013, as he’s been limited to just three games so far thanks to that bit of bad luck. His last game came against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 23.
