And I am hesitant to even say that he’s faltering. He’s only playing poorly when compared to the lofty standards he’s set for himself. How many other teams with goaltending issues would love to have even an average-playing Pekka Rinne? He’s getting less than zero help. The dude is a class act and one of the best netminders in the league, he deserves better than what his teammates are giving him right now.

He already got a fat contract but this guy doesn’t sit back and mail it in. He cares and he competes every single game. As a Preds fan I love this guy.

Guy’s getting ridden for 65-70 games a year or equivalent, every season. No-one can do it forever without occasionally laying some eggs. Nashville’s terrible D support these last couple games hasn’t helped.
