I did not notice this until I was freeze framing but it was contact before leaving the feet. The NHL can not do anything about this with the current rule books cause its actually legal.

I am shocked but its just the way Harrold was placed that made it look like he left his feet first.

Willi, I have no idea what your response is supposed to prove. I never claimed Schenn was the cleanest hockey player, nor did I say he’s never had any illegal hits before. I said he didn’t leave his feet before contact on THIS hit, and he didn’t. That fact isn’t changed by that previous hit.

And Wilson, my goodness. What is that abortion of a first sentence even trying to say? Maybe you should hit up an English class or two first, then go to physics. I hope you are not trying to say that all hits are identical and they should all look like that, because the angle of contact can be different, you know?
Schenn lifted off the ice after contact. I’m amazed at how low the percentage is of people who understand this. At least there are a few of you.

That being said this a clean hit IMO on a player who didn’t listen to his peewee coach and had his head down while turning around in the offensive zone . The guy deserved to get crushed. I am not sure it’s fair to blame any player who makes head contact with a guy looking at his skates. It’s why I never blamed Stevens or called his hit that ended lindross’s flyers career cheap or dirty, lindros put his face in his skates coming across the blue line …. You get killed if you do that.

The NHL needs to take into account what the other player is doing when we see hits like this. Even thoughts will be suspended I am failing to see how it’s schenns. Fault the guy decided he could play hockey without looking where he was going.

Overall probably a suspension, but definitely not a cheap or dirty hit.
