I think the decline in production coupled with the fact that its been Garth’s plan all to keep Nino in the AHL for the shortened season means that we won’t likely see him getting a call up.

Wouldn’t rule out the Isles making a trade AFTER the homestand if they are in a position in the standings that suggests buying. Not sure about the reluctance to call up Nino. Is he just not ready? Is this some sort of punishment for his agent’s ill considered trade demand? Hard to say.

They have Jesse Jonesu coming back from injury who may be ready as soon as Saturday.

If he isn’t ready for Saturday, they’ll probably just goon it up with Eric Boulton for a game or two in JJ is good to go.
