Video: Eller lifts Canadiens past Senators in the shootout

OK. It wasn’t Mason Raymond’s spin-o-rama.

But it was a nice move, nonetheless, as Montreal Canadiens center Lars Eller scored the winning goal in the shootout Wednesday night against the Ottawa Senators. Call it a more conventional approach to the skills competition. The Habs pulled off a 4-3 victory over their Northeast Division rivals.

Meanwhile, the Canadiens have won four games in a row and are back atop the Eastern Conference standings.

    Shows the brilliance lol of the Canadian coaches to healthy scratch Eller early in the year and think about trading him.

    I look forward to when everything is back to normal and the Bruins are in first.

    I guess when you haven’t won in 20 years first place halfway through a shortened season is fun to brag about.

      Silly, silly Bruin fan, wanting to bring up history.

      Here’s a fun history fact:

      There was a point in time when the Habs eliminated the Bruins 21 consecutive times when they met in the playoffs. And no, that’s not a typo.

      I have lots more, since you’re so interested in history, to share with you.
