clearly all your trash talk has done you wonders in the standings, there must be a reason teams like yours remain in the cellar year after year only to limp into the playoffs once in a blue moon. by the way perry isn’t a puss or whatever u want to call it, he takes more punishment in the crease than most in the league and gladly will keep doing it if it wins games. i’m sorry you dont have a net front presence like him or a holmstrom or any intangibles to help you win games. we’ll let our point getting do the talking enough said

whats really interesting is i cant count how many times perry has gotten cross checked, slashed, tripped, high sticked or boarded around the blue paint with a no call. yes his hit was late but shanahans blatant inconsistencies to make the same calls across the board is pretty obvious. the incident in which cam was sidelined for a number of games didn’t even warrant a minor penalty? no disciplinary hearing? no fine? not even a phone hearing? when clearly the hit was after the whistle blew and the hit was 10 times worse than the one in minnesota. just seems to me that shanahans crew is giving special privilege to anything but small market teams. And by the way any wild fans blaming the loss on officiating or dirty play it wasn’t, bottom line is you didnt play a full 60 minutes. You got flat outplayed in the third period. good hockey teams find ways to win, great hockey teams find ways to win through any adversity and that’s what that was.

It was a LATE hit, he got his major, misconduct and will get suspended. Glad Zucker seems to be ok. Wild fans who are trying to convince themselves that they lost this game because of this incident or the refs, what a joke. You lost the game because you got outplayed in the 3rd period.

bear, your point is almost well taken, your right why wasn’t his hands up for a puck battle, well, not sure if you can see it in the clip or not, but Zucker had gotten to the puck and threw the puck around himself to the right back to the offensive blue line, in doing so he glanced back to see where the puck went, as soon as he turns to head into the corner, Perry blasts him. SO, why didn’t he have his arms up ready for a puck battle… BECAUSE there was NO PUCK to battle for… hence the “Interference” call.

Also, the only thing ‘limp’ about any thing here I can see… is your attempt at trolling! LMAO

There is no way Zucker doesn’t have a concussion. When he was being helped off I could see from the front row, he looked so foggy in his head he wouldn’t know right from left.

If you look at other sports, in football you deliver cheap shots you’re going to get heavy fines and suspensions regardless of injury. In baseball you throw at or behind a guy you get suspended regardless of injury. In hockey you elbow a guy to the head (generic situation) and he gets up, then they refuse to act and instead let some archaic “code” take care of things. Meanwhile they fail to see that if they suspend the guy 5 games for that elbow that didnt injure then the player is less likely to deliver an elbow that actually does hurt someone down the road. And other players around the league will notice, hey I elbow someone in the head and I’m sitting for 5 games.

As for the second part, agreed we all have our biases, I was just pointing out the irony that 3 weeks ago (I think) Wild fans were okay with similar things taking place. It doesn’t make you less of a fan to admit your team (or a player on that team) did something wrong. As a Flames fan I hated Denis Gauthier and Rene Bourque cause they were always delivering cheap shots. I liked Ville Neimenin when he was briefly here, but man was he cheap!

Agreed completely on second and third paragraph. I will believe the league is serious about head injuries when they start taking action against coaches and teams in addition to the player. The injury to the recipient of the hit should be irrelevant (unless it is used to add to a suspension).

On the first paragraph – I don’t think Wild fans are any different than those of other teams. Those of us who don’t think they are biased in these areas have no insight – we are all a bit hypocritical in these cases when our team is involved.

Gotta love Wild fans, their player delivers a late hit to the head and the other player should “man up” and “quit diving” but when one of their players gets hit in a similar fashion it’s the worst thing that’s ever happened on a sheet of ice.

For the record the hit from Coyle to Stajan was cheap (late and aimed at the head) and the Perry hit here was also cheap. Both warrant suspensions BUT because the NHL is all about punishing the results and not the act and Stajan skated off, that hit received no suspension, here the Wild player was down on the ice for a while, so it will draw a 2 or 3 game suspension.

I wish the NHL would realize that they could eliminate a lot of crap like this hit by being proactive and suspending players for the acts they commit, regardless of injury, rather than waiting for bad things to happen before they ultimately act.

Yeah, yeah…Perry clocked Zucker with his elbows down, gave him a shoulder clip, with injury expected to dictate penalty, but…

Why is Zucker going into the corner with his arms down and not squaring- up for a coming puck battle? Why is a concussion prone player still playing hockey? Can Perry’s penalty with regard to Zucker’s concussion history be mitigated?

Play the game with a limp wrist, you’re gonna end up in a pile, limp…
