I think your right if Holmgren where to fire Lavy he would all but be saying he made a mistake taking
Lavys side in his feud with Mike Richards but it makes a lot of sense the Panthers are looking to move
and house clean again and the Flyers desperately need a defenseman to take minutes off timmonen who is starting to show his age out there

anything is possible at this point. Everything points at home and home with the devils what the flyers will do. funny part is the players are trying so hard to get lavy fired but he has full support of holmgren.

If the Flyers want to make one move going forward that will help them they need to trade for Bernier from LA. Bryz is garbage and his contract must be bought out or they will be stuck with him for the next 8 years.

I don’t think so buckeye044, as it doesn’t look like the Flyers are going to the dance this year so giving up assets wouldn’t make sense and next year with the cap reduction they would be hard pressed to resign him. He would make a great Flyer and the fans there would love him but the timing is just not right.

Philly (post has been updated to reflect that.) This actually happened not too long ago when Calgary traded for Brian McGrattan rather than claiming him off waivers. They needed a spare contract space to make the offer sheet for Ryan O’Reilly, so they had to flip 1-for-1 with McGrattan, rather than just bring him aboard.
