Sorry but does anyone actually take anything NIck Kypreos says seriously? I mean the stuff he comes up with at this time of year (trade deadline) is generally dead wrong. He’s a blow hard who doesn’t have a clue.

With that out of the way, I think it would take a lot for the Sabres to trade the face of their franchise. A goaltender who is still playing at a hight level. They don’t have a solid guy waiting to replace Miller (Enroth isn’t a guy you can win with), and the Sabres are trying to win as indicated by all the money they are spending. They don’t seem to have an appetite for rebuilding (again). What they need to do is spend their money wisely and with that, I would suggest the first guy to go is General Manager Darcy Regeir. They got rid of Lindy Ruff and now clean out the GM and get a fresh perspective on personel.

Oh yes. And Miller has already hinted his displeasure (with very good reason) at the defense in front of him. If I were Miller, I’d be begging for a trade from this train wreck.

Being a Sabres season ticket holder I have a few observations from the Sabrss organization. Darcy regier has been in the organization way too long, how many GMs can keep their jobs this long with such mediocre results and no championships? The guy overvalued his players, leading to small returns. This is what will happen with Miller, Vanek, Pom, and any other younger player that he won’t deal bc he thinks they’re going to be a superstar. Most fans in Buffalo thought things would be different under Pagula but its been worse. Darcy gave out some ridiculous contracts and it’s biting him, but still has his job. The organization seems soft, people around here want things completely fresh…new GM from outside the organization, new coach from outside the organization, and a new core (if you can get 1st round picks for Miller, Van, Pom you do it). This team needs someone in the front office that will make tough decisions and stop being such a nice guy, we’ve suffered long enough.

I wouldn’t think Regier would trade Miller within the division unless the return was absurd.

I’d be ready to write them off considering where they are in the standings and how many teams ahead of them have games in hand. But that win against the Rangers makes me pause, “Not so fast, my friend!”

If the Leafs can’t get Luongo maybe Miller could be the answer? Toronto media would love Miller. What about the Oilers? My gut thinks it’s Detroit, only if they can’t resign Howard. Miller is a big name goaltender the Wings haven’t had in a while.

@ justinbanker no team wants to take on Luongos salary.

Buffalo needs to clean house not only with Miller but with Vanek & lots of other dead weight players for draft picks or younger better up & coming players!

Also Pegula should fire GM Regeire too!

I was actually talking about that move in January.
Vancouver needs a young dman / forward and desperately need to figure out their goalie situation and buffalo needs some experience / skill on the blue line.

Buffalo sends: Miller and Myers / Brennan / McNabb
Vancouver sends: Luongo and Hammuis / Edler / Bieksa and a third of fourth round pick.

No way this happens unless miller starts to purposely cause trouble to be moved, which is no where on the horizon. Unless buffalo gets a ridiculous return there is no way he goes anywhere

At $5.67mil, there isn’t much to dump if Bryz is amnestied. Not saying it’ll happen but it’s within the Flyers salary capabilities.

seriously, why not give it a go? … both teams are struggling right now and this may just be the answer, especially for Calgary over the long term … as for Buffalo, they get an immediate “shot in the arm” from the likes of Iggy and Kipper, while Feaster’s a joke who could be “dealt with” upon his arrival … I see potential win/win with a deal like this …

Miller’s candidacy does seem promising for the next goalie to have his career ruined by the Flyers. It’s a close primary, but Miller seems to have emerged as the frontrunner over Luongo.
