As I Wild fan I am familiar with Todd Richards. I actually liked him while he was here. He was given a bunch of crap to work with and his only talented guys, Latendresse, Koivu, and PMB were often injured for extensive time. Besides all that, we were still that 9,10,11 type team in the West…just like we always were with healthy guys. I also believe his club set a franchise mark for most road victories in a season. So knowing we had a bad team talent wise, were riddled with injuries, he still had them playing hard enough to earn plenty of points on the road. Even our best teams in past years didn’t win like that on the road. Not an easy thing to accomplish.

I was happy he got another shot so quickly as head coach. I am also glad to see his team responding and playing well. I’m sort of a closet Jackets fan now because of how they are always cellar dwellers.

Good luck Jackets, keep up the good work Todd. Some of us in Minny were sad to see you leave in that no-win situation they gave you. I am happy with Yeo, but he’s no better than what you could do with this roster. Beat those Canucks for us tonight!
