He fell as they were doing in. He’s below the dasher before they even approach the boards. Tell Neil to learn how to skate if he’s going to get that close to the boards.

Is this a joke? He laid down on the ice and McQuaid barely touched him. He didn’t pin or ride anyone into the boards. Neil went to the stop and never even tried to stand up straight.

What exactly did he hurt? It wasnt his head.

I didn’t even see much of a hit here. Looks more like a dive from Neil than a hit by McQuaid! But I have to say the knee by Neil on Kelly was pretty stupid on Neil’s part and I think he’ll be seeing Shanahan about that one…..

That was not a dive at all. One thing Chris Neil doesn’t do much of is dive. McQuaid I think made a poor decision and should have contacted the shoulder; though I don’t think there was intent to cause injury.

Respectfully disagree. You watch the replay and it looks like Neil not only didn’t attempt tp avoid the hit, but that he actually lifted his leg up a little to make sure there was contact. I hope that’s not true, but it sure looked like it.

The knee on knee was incidental…if anything, Neil was trying to avoid contact but got caught on an inside edge as he attempted to cut an arc to avoid the collision and head up ice.

It feels like someone gets hit from behind in at least half of the games around the league every night though. I don’t think Boston is really any more guilty of it than anybody else… Does the Neil knee-on-knee on Kelly bother you too though? If you haven’t seen it, trust me: That hit, and that kind of hit is much worse.
