as a ranger fan am glad to see the devils struggle, good for the rangers. ok at this point i know you devil fans are saying kiss my grits, we have to keep this clean. but on the other hand i do thing if brodeur was in net, not hedberg the end results would be different. unlike brodeur as a top notch goalie. I don’t thing hedberg can handle the pressure of being on a losing slump, during the games it has to be on his mind that, i have to win this game which takes away from his consideration and confidence, were as brodeur would just shake it off and carry on. other then that the team looks to be playing good. just need the wright goalie.

If only there were a team in the league with two legitimate starting goalies, looking to trade one of them. If only one of them was Brodeur’s Olympic understudy, and the other was the next great American goalie. A trade like that could really save the Devils’ season.

The Devils are going to need to give Hedberg a rest at sometime. You can’t just keep playing him his 39 he will burn out easily. He is no Brouder.

They need to give Hedberg a night off. The kid that went in the other night looked good in relief. Confident, seemed to bring some life to the team. Didn’t watch tonight. Dont know if he came in again and failed miserably. They have to do something or they will be below .500 before the end of the week.
Fine by me though. Go Pens!

This has been unbelievably tough to watch – its like two completely different teams out there from the first quarter of the season to the second.

Part of me has to wonder if the hot start was a fluke, a lot of lucky bounces, David Clarkson scoring David Clarkson-esque goals, was this just a team that benefited from playing a solid system game against other clubs trying to find their legs?

In the beginning of the season they were suffocating their opponents, now they look like the ones who are always a step behind.
