To all you Nashville and Minnesota fans. The only reason you have a team is because the NY, Philly, Boston etc teams and fans are paying you to be in the league. You should all be worshipping at the alter of bettman. Fans in legitimate NHL cities have to pay exorbitant ticket prices to support your miserable markets.

If they do the tribute video, I’ll cheer him. He was a Predator for some of the franchise’s most memorable moments to date. He’s American and will still represent my (our) country in international play. At the same time, I will boo him too. I think the problem most pred fans have isn’t that he just left. To me, him doing what’s best for his family is completely understandable. The reason we’re pissed is because we all thought he was re-signing here. We thought this because he was quoted in the Tennessean mid season his last year here saying he wanted to stay here, that a deal will get done. We’ve come to know Suter as a stand up guy that doesn’t B.S.. Poile thought this as well, Poile’s comments definitely fueled the fire but the fans we’re already pissed. Don’t say stuff in the press you might go back on. It pisses people off, and they feel lied to when that happens strangely enough!

I will acknowledge that he had every right to go where he wanted. I will also acknowledge the fans have every right to be pissed.

Anyway, I’m missing Suter on the blue line. Josi will be a great replacement but he’s not quite there yet. Defenseman Klein hosts a radio show here. When asked by a fan what player would be take on his team if he could have any player in the NHL right now. His answer was Ryan Suter, he’s definitely missed here.

Best of luck to Suter, except for tomorrow.

thank you nvandy. ive always felt the same way. he did perhaps handle the whole thing kinda poorly, but i suppose if you put me in that situation with those dollar amounts floating around i probably wouldnt do much better.

Yea I’m a Wild fan, but I didn’t get all butt hurt at Gaborik when he left. You know who I got mad at? Our GM for not trading or signing him before he became a free agent. So get mad at David Poile for being an short sighted instead of Suter for taking advantage of his rights as a UFA and person wanting to live closer to family before he turns 42

You are the uneducated hack. We have watched him put in a half-ass effort in Nashville for years. I sincerely hope he gives the Wild more effort than he gave us. We really are glad he is gone. We just didn’t like the lack of character he exhibited when he left. You paid for him, hope he does great for you. He will never be a Weber.

Yeah he’s bitter and he has every right to be. Fans make emotional and financial investments into players and teams; just as Suter and Parise had the right to choose to take the money and run to Minnesota those fans they left behind and rejected have the right to be pissed about it and express that. My hunch is that you are A) a Wild fan B) not a fan of Preds or Devils…

Count me as one that will be there booing. Good player while he was here. Don’t blame him for going north with Parise. Should have been up front with his intentions to leave instead of holding the Predators hostage, it prevented them from throwing a line out to other top line FA’s and left them with nothing to look at when he did sign. Could have picked up someone who can score, they have plenty of Defensemen in the system. Then he goes north and talks bad about the guy who just gave him $100 mil during the lockout. It’s all about Ryan. I’m glad he got his $, glad I don’t have to watch him get run over by someone once per game and glad he’s gone.
