There are plenty of causes or products that would be worthy of his boycotting attention other than a hockey game ! So if I may suggest pick one of them then sit down with a cold one preferably a union made beer on your preferably made in the USA sofa and enjoy your BlackHawks !

I would’ve liked to see a league-wide boycott at the stadiums for the first week of the season. Let them have <25% capacity for that stretch just to show WE won't accept lockout after lockout, but alas, everyone went running right back. This season I have instituted a boycott for attending games and buying team merchandise but I still watch on TV. It just sucks because with attendance on the rise and teams making records left and right, I fear Bettman thinks lockouts are no big deal because every time there is one, the fans come back. And not only come back but come back stronger. Its a catch-22. Yeah we prove were great fans but this is now the 3rd lockout of his tenure and I guarantee it won't be the last. Its pathetic.

Good for him. I’d be willing to bet 95% of the people posting on here were saying they would do the same the week before the lockout ended. Stick to your guns. If they don’t appreciate your financial donation (and they have clearly demonstrated that they don’t), then keep it.

If this guy wants to affect the likely hood of another lockout happening it would make a lot more sense to stop watching the season before the CBA expires. Right now it’s just an idiot at a bar in Chicago getting drunk and proclaiming himself a man of priciple while continuing his own personal lockout.

Agree with this guy or not, I got new for him…. the league is seeing record, or near record, rateings and attendance. So he can “boycott” all he wants, but the only thing hes doing is depriving himself of watching the sport he likes.

Two wrongs don’t make a right buddy. The game did nothing wrong, don’t turn your back on it. This streak is great for the game of hockey for the right reasons. I hope it continues, going to need a pens vs Philly like rally now though.
