Don’t know who to reply to…. Chimera is a tough one. NO ONE can call embellishment! If Tyson even motioned a turn, this would be a non issue.

But since Queen Crosby had his bell rung in the classic…… All caps are fair game..

lets look at those 10 games. wins vs win, tb, fla, car, bos, nj. losses against philly, nyr, nj. no one ever doubted the caps were able to win in their weakest division in hockey. 4-10 against non division all year and only 3 wins against a team with a winning record this year a sinking NJ, BOS, & CAR.

i dont sense a lot of faith from you if you’re saying you werent comfortable without a 5 goal lead. bottom feeder vs bottom feeder – someone has to win. beating up on florida doesnt say much – philly beat them 7-0 and they arent very good either. dont get too excited

I think we proved that we dont belong with the bottom feeders.
Even when ww started to look shakey, we would come right back and turn momentum around. Im glad we didnt turtle like boston did when they were up. The game wasnt “over” my mind until we scored the 5th goal. But we never stopped and just kept taking it to em.

What a game! 4 goals in the first 10 minutes. I love how, after all the trash talk by this site, nobody is mentioning that, in the last 10 games, the Caps are one of the best teams in the league. I don’t want to hear crap about it being the Panthers either, because the Caps wrecked the Bruins after being down 3-0 in the first period the other night.

If Chimera had the puck, theres no issue with this hit. He kept the elbow down, and doesn’t leave his feet.

However, Chimera doesn’t have the puck and isn’t looking at Strachan… so this becomes a blind side cheap shot on a guy who has no expectation of being hit. Its a dangerous and reckless hit that shouldn’t have been thrown.

The million dollar question however, is what will the league do about it. I could see nothing being done about it, or I could see as much as 3 games…. its just impossible to tell with how punishment has been handled this year.

I was at this game. I am a caps fan and even though this was an uncalled for hit, this is hockey and emotions run high and this calls for nothing more than for a simple tag back by the caps I the next meeting. nothing more nothing less. I just hope the caps show up next game to show them what they are about
