Sid needs a big game tonight. I think I remember reading somewhere that Giroux has outscored him in their last 6 games against the Flyers. Hat trick?? I think so! I’m expecting a big game from Sutter, too! He’s been playing well lately and he had that huge goal against Philly last time that I’m thinking (hoping) he’s gonna roll off that, too.

Cooke needs to be on the third line. I thought they just dropped Bennett back onto WBS the other day?

Really hope he can take control of that wing. Its been over 20 games they need to have their lines figured out by now and allow these guys to gel. Playing with Malkin and Neal should allow any player to excel so lets see what hes got over a few games.

Any word on Martin?

pens come out and dominate the first ten minutes of the game every time they play the flyers. then the flyers get sick of it, take a shot at someone, start a fight, or run their mouths and the pens fall for it and play right into their hands again. it becomes a pissing contest and the gameplan goes out the window and nobody plays defense anymore. it was zolnercyk and rinaldo last time, i’m sure it will be hartnell this time getting it started. i say it every time but hopefully the pens dont get suckered in again

I agree the Pens need to stay out of the box, however they need to be much more physical then they have been as of late. Emotions always run high when these two teams play which can to lead to sloppy play which typically impacts the Penguins game much more than that of the Flyer’s. Letang, Crosby and Geno need to keep it together tonight; If they do that, the Pens should come out on top (assuming there isn’t a complete Goalie/Defense meltdown)

cooke is a defensive forward, he needs to bolster the 3rd line for matchup purposes. third line has TK as the shooter really (lol), they dont need bennett on it – lets face it, he hasnt been known for defensive ability. i’m good with stacking the top 2 lines and having cooke back to his utility role.

The penguins need to stay out of the penalty box tonight. They can’t get caugh up in any post whistle scrums and need to keep their composure. If they do that along with limiting their neutral zone turnovers, which lead to odd men breaks, then they will be just fine tonight. Flyer’s D is hurting right now and this game is huge for them. Lets hit them where it hurts, the scoreboard and the standings. LETS GO PENS!!

I agree that Cooke has done okay but I think Bennett brings much more to the table from a skill perspective. I like the idea of Cookie driving to the net to free up space for Geno and Neal to do work, but I think this will allow them to spread the ice a little bit more and look for crisp passing lanes for shots.

We’ll need it too – huge game tonight against a resurgent Philly team. I’d love to see us be able to get Bryz moving laterally like NYR did a couple nights ago – seems to be where he’s weak right now.

Lets go Pens! Don’t know why they don’t just keep Cooke on that line. He has shown he can step his game up to keep up with those guys. He did it last year with Crosby. He has done it so far this year. I guess Bennet is the future. Hope he does great so we can end this carousel on that line. Maby build some chemistry.
