Ironman I never thought this day would come but Iam turning to you a pens fan for therapy ! I wake up this morning and the flyers are staring up at the horrible icelanders tied in point with the icelander a game in hand !
To make matters worse the flyers have a very good chance of receiving a beatdown of biblical preportions in Boston today ! I know we are foes but you gotta help me here ! You have every right to look to the east and laugh your rear end off but I know your a better man than that hahahahhaah !

Thank you mordock. Ahole26 trolls almost every single comment I post. He has no hockey knowledge so he resorts to childish name calling and cliche Flyers jokes. I respect most Pens fan on PHT, and I can readily admit they’re a supremely talented team, but he deserves no such respect. And you are correct, Hartnell hit it with a high stick. That call was the least of the Flyers problems last night. Those saying otherwise are simply jaded by the excruciating loss.

Will you admit that you’re a front-running Pens fan already? All you do is troll every Flyers related page with some asinine insult. And you say you’re not a Pens fan… BS! Unlike your western Pa bretheren we dont desert our teams when they’re struggling. You show up a few days ago and do nothing but praise the Pens and disparage Philly. Guess you had to wait for Malkin to return before you could fully commit to the Pittsburgh bandwagon? Oh, and the only reason the Pens had a good 2nd is because the Flyers had an awful one. See, I can put a thought like that together as well. Although you do deserve some credit as that was easily your most insightful post.

Apparently miketoasy has the comprehension ability of bobhpiningforattention I am pretty sure the personal attack was all his. He called me out in his post. I responded. I guess he statistically dominated me. I complemented the Penguins play in my statement. I don’t question there abilities or insult their players. That what your friend bobhpiniforattention does. it is a theme consistent in his posts.

Statistically speaking, the Penguins have one more cup than the Flyers, the is it. And how much pride can you take in the first two considering they lost games intentionally to draft Mario. Had they played with integrity, they would have finished ahead of the Devils the year before Mario was drafted and found themselves in another city today. So, that third cup would never have made it to Pittsburgh.

Some more stats, the Flyers are the winningest team in the league outside the original six, have the second highest winning percentage in NHL history, have missed the playoffs far less than the Penguins (without looking it up, I believe the margin is 17-8 playoff misses favoring the Penguins), the Flyers are 53 game over .500 all time versus the Penguins and have won 4 of the 6 playoff series. I will gladly take the stats from a larger sample than half a season. The penguins finished ahead of the Flyers last year too and that didn’t work out so well.

So Bobhpiningforattention, since miketoasy is such a fan of yours, you can invite him out for the free wine you boast about drinking and then he can help you dress your poodles in matching sweaters while reveling in mid season accomplishments.

I was down there last night so Iam a little sensitive hahaha ! I truly believe that that game was their season I have come to grips that the flyers will not make the playoffs ! You know from my post Iam not a bryz fan that being said the bigger part is the play in front of him ! A lot of Pens fans there last night !

My evidence is that the stick was not over the crossbar and Vokoun’s hooting and hollering and the ref’s typical biased reaction to Bettman’s marketing sweetie pies resulted in a disallowed goal.

Geez, 5hole26… even I can show some sympathy for phillyphanatic… sheesh. It’s a tough loss. Believe me, we knew the feeling not that long ago in the previous meeting of these two teams. Granted, that particular goalfest was more competitive from start to finish, but still… lay off the guy. I feel his pain.

And it was clearly a high stick goal from Hartnell. One camera angle showed it plain as day. You can be bitter, but stay here in reality with us.

Great night to be a Pens fan. EVERY game between these two feels like a playoff game.

Ooo that one hurts deep… Sound argument but Id rather not give up hope and keep my fingers crossed they figure it out with enough time a make the playoffs. As the kings displayed last year all you need is a spot in the playoffs to win it all. Kings underachieved all season last year until it mattered most.

On another note about the flyers young players… you can say us flyers fans are not ok with the JVR trade still. JVR is probably going to be a very good-great player for years for come. Not saying we got the short stick in the trade because Luke hasnt disappointed. What D-men contribute doesnt always show up in direct stats like goals and assists like it does for forwards. For example Chris Pronger scored a point every other game but still was regarded as one of biggest impact dmen in the league by every sober hockey fan. Kimmo Timonen has perennially been one of the flyers top dmen and most would say the flyers would not be the same team without him. He hasnt put up the biggest numbers but he has still been a big part of the defense on the preds and the flyers in the most nonflashy way possible for 14 years. Luke is 23 years old, has been playing an average of around 20 mins per game, and is a +3. His future is bright.
