As an ardent, passionate and “values-driven” fan of the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, I have to admit that it “hurts” me to hear Drew talking like this. He’s without a doubt our absolute “best” skater on the ice “night in & night out” and he’s also arguably the “best” defense man in the game today. Nonetheless, his statement “if I don’t score a goal and we’re winning, it really doesn’t matter” is a true testament as to why he’s the epitome of the ultimate “selfless and dedicated” leader. I remember an instance last year in the playoffs (ie: perhaps against the Yotes?) when he was “tremendously” upset by a penalty called against him. The TV announcers were saying that “he better be careful” etc, due to his passionate and demonstrative reaction to the call. But for me, that spoke “volumes” about this man’s character and “unrelenting” dedication to our team. The bottom line is that Drew Doughty is a “supreme” warrior with the heart of a lion that beats “passionately and ceaselessly” for the glory which is our Los Angeles Kings!
