I almost cut this game off at the end of the first, after that horrible showing against Philly, but I decided to keep on watching, and I’m glad I did. Hopefully they can reel in the next 3!

Ugh I thought for that first period we had another debacle of a game on our hands, aka that Philly game. But a great 45mins of a game to get back in it and get the win. Loved to see Ovi driving that net. and Fehrs play has been outstanding. Glad to see him get the OT winner and a pretty one at that. Keep getting those points boys GO CAPS!

Agree. I do think they’ll snap out of it bc they’ve consistently performed for a few years now. But, their strength is in the team defense, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they try and grab some sort of stay at home, shut down defenseman.

They need it that’s for sure. Wouldn’t be surprised if they grabbed some sort of D too. Hopefully Ference decides to wake up this year, he has been terrible.

B’s looked lazy in the second and third periods. That “defense” on the final scoring play was terrible. Not to take anything away from Washington but the Bruins need to put forth a better effort if they want to win games.

I actually was at this game (awesome seats, we were three rows behind the official’s booth between the surprisingly-quiet penalty boxes). That first period was great by Boston, but… for whatever reason, they just never really put pressure on Holtby after that. When the Caps got their second goal, I started thinking about OT, and the B’s at least sneaking away with a point- which, fortunately, they managed to do.

That OT goal was ridiculous- I can’t believe that actually went in the net, great hustle by Fehr to make it happen. If the Caps manage to salvage part of this season, that’s a moment to point at. Great work on his part, really through the whole game he stood out as a busy Caps player.

Bruins played a good 15 minutes last night, unfortunately that won’t win you many games. Great goal by Fehr. As a Bruin’s fan they didn’t deserve anymore than the 1 point they got for how they played.

Winners in 7 of their last 10. And kudos to Holtbeast for truly buckling down. Also an attaboy for Kundratek on his first career NHL goal and Olesky getting a point in his first NHL game.
