Streaker hits the ice during intermission of Flames-Sharks game (updated w/ video)

Calgary streaker

It’s rare occurrence for a streaker in a hockey game. But, it happens.

Twitter erupted moments ago with reports of a streaker taking to the ice during the second intermission of the Calgary Flames-San Jose Sharks game in Calgary.

He wasn’t fully naked, according to Twitter reports.

Updated with video (h/t Puck Daddy):

This isn’t the first time this has happened at a Flames game. One infamous incident occurred in October of 2002, when a fan – wearing only red socks – slipped on the ice and hit his head, knocking himself unconscious. He needed to be taken off the ice on a stretcher.

    Now that’s what you call a streak…

Once again, your action news reporter in the booth at the Dome, covering
the disturbance at the hockey game. Pardon me, sir, did you see
    what happened?

Yeah, I did. I’s just goin’ down thar to get Ethel a snow
cone. And here he come, right out of the cheap seats, dribbling, right
down the middle of the ice. Didn’t have on nothing but his birthday suit.
Made a wrist shot and got out through the concessions stand. I hollered up
at Ethel, I said, “Don’t look, Ethel!” But it was too late. She’d
already got a moon shot. Grandstandin’, right there in front of the
    home team.

Oh, yes, they call him the Streak Here he comes again.
Boogity, Boogity Who’s that with him?
The fastest thing on two feet Ethel? Is that you, Ethel?
Boogity, Boogity What do you think you’re doin’
    You get your clothes on!

Admittedly a completely “retarded &irrelevant” story, but “good times” all the same. Stuff like this is funny and it makes people laugh which is a “good” thing. So for full marks to the streaker and full marks to comrade Tucker for his journalistic coverage! :)

Blomfeld sidebar: back in 1978 at a notorious “Hell’s Angels” biker bar here, me and my gang of buddies “streaked” through their joint just to get a laugh and piss them off … we were all drunk and seriously “playing with fire” … as it turned out, we fortunately made it out in one piece and no one was hurt in the end … :)

Really? 1978? How old are you? 50? 60!?! …and you post the most childish attention seeking comments on here….. makes a lot of sense actually.

Oh, hush. Blomfeld’s special brand of crazy made last year’s Cup run hysterical.

This doesn’t change my dream of one day casually wandering onto the field during play in (any) NFL game and peeing.

    If you’re half naked…your not a streaker.

  7. murtdurt - Mar 7, 2013 at 1:52 AM

I was there and even though he wasn’t a full streaker it was still awesome. Made for some great second intermission entertainment

People laugh and cheer for streakers yet the guy in the trench-coat flashing someone gets no love? Sup with that?
