The other issue is that Moose is starting in back to back games.
I think got the kick in the butt he needed. He was pulled in favor of a kid who has never played one shot in the NHL. Then that kid lit up the crowd. Hedberg is much better than we've seen thus far. It's a matter of the rest of the team giving him a break.

How about scoring a few goals before the other team does? Maybe they should give that idea a whirl. That'll give Hedberg what he needs. It's hard for a goalie to play knowing if he lets in one goal, it might be the game winner. Another goal will be the icing on the cake.

I heard a silly rumor that the other guys on the ice with the same shirts on as Hedberg also receive paychecks to play. If it's true, then they should start acting like it.

Henrique NOT included in that bunch. He's starting to play his but off again.

Status Que. Right, like we haven't heard that one before.

These coaches are all like preprogrammed robots. They act like the media room is an interrogation room, and the press is the FBI

As for the Kinkaid send down:

Kinkaid's confidence is at a high point. That's where you want it to be for a bit. He played great for his first outing. Stopping wide open shots, and a breakaway from none other than Steven Stamkos. If he rides the pine too long, and gets the nod, he might get lit up. I think he'll get some starts and come back up when he's ready to play many more games.

Clearly the organization doesnt think the young guys are ready yet and brought Kinkaid up simply because teams need to dress a backup goalie, not to challenge Heddy. The question is whether the Devils can turn it around and, if not, does Lou need to make a trade. Everyone knows the Devils do not yet have their goalie of the future and with a bevy of young, starting caliber backups (bernier, bishop, elliot, schneider, etc... ) in the NHL this could force Lou's hand.... Devils have a surplus of young defensemen, but would they be enough to pry one of those guy's away should the devils continue to slide....

Well, if Kinkaid needs some starts I have a brilliant idea.... start him on Thursday. I'm sorry, but Deboer's decision to start Hedberg again tomorrow is really baffling. His confidence level is really low right now and he needs to sit out a bit. The rest of the team is also strugging but I think if there were a kid in net getting his first NHL start, the team would try to win for him.
Marty, we need you back man, we're dying out here!

Well that narrows it down, right.....If he's out closer to the month time frame then it will be too late for the Devils and their playoff hopes. Too bad for the Moose but he is not getting it done lately, time to try a kid.
