I would love to see pens flyers finals but would you rather have a chance at seeing the team like once a year and in the finals if both teams can make it, or keep the rivalry strong and play each other 6-8 times a year.

Rushledger, you are NOT looking at the overall picture, one of the reasons the Wings want to move east is because of the west coast trips, the late starting games during the regular season and especially during the playoffs plus there is the travel through 3 time zones, it is not fair for Wings fans to have games starting that late, it is easy on teams in the east because they rarely leave their own time zone.

As much as I dislike the Wings being a Hawks fan, I respect the team and the rivalry.

It’s a double edge sword. I love the matchups, but the opportunity of beating them to see the Hawks win the cup??

Regardless, they are always the games I mark on my calendar first. Glad to see people watched a truly respectful but extremely competitive rivalry.

exactly. I want to see Hawks/Redwings or Hawks/Canucks or Hawks/Boston………or Hawks/23 other teams in the Stanley Cup Finals!

It beat out the flyers pens game from last year? Not sure if that was NBC or whatever but I thought it was…. Anyway the real reason I came here was to say “and the NHL wants to get rid of this rivalry” easily one of the top rivalries, breaking this up would be dumb.
