Looked to me like Crawford kept the hawks in it as well…a bounce or two either way and either team could have won by two or three. Still, the Hawks look fragile against Grand Rapid’s finest?

Howard kept the Wings in the game. Hawks should of scored 3 or 4 over the first 2 periods. Credit to Howard, excellent game.

Chicago wanted this game more than the Wings from the drop of the puck and deserved the win.

Detroit didn’t show up until the 3rd period… just like they finished last season. They basically saw the offensive zone only on the occasional ICING for 40 minutes.

I’m hacked and that was a pathetic effort – only Howard’s effort kept the Wings in it.

Send Abdelkader and Kindl away. ‘They’ are turnovers and busted plays just itching to happen.

How can the Wings not have been more fired up than that to start the game???
