If you watch the replay Emelin turns and is facing Chara when he gets knocked down. Then Chara waits for him to get up before he starts in on him. After the cheap shot he gave to Seguin he is lucky Chara even gave him a chance. Gallagher did not have to complain or run down the runway crying Therrien did enough of that for the whole team. Must have been a heavy flow night for him and the rest of the ladies.

Not sure what you thought I was talking about, but I didn’t think the game was disgraceful, I thought it was enjoyable, especially because I have no stock in either team. There was no penalty called on what I’m talking about, when Boychuck decided to put Desharnais in a face-wash headlock and not let go, covering both his nose and mouth…all 5’7″ of him. Not so manly…kind of pathetic. Yet while I keep hearing Bruins fans chirping about Seguin, no one is bringing that up. Game got out of hand at the end because the Bruins were trying to goon it up, and their star got whacked….that’ll happen.

As a fan of neither team, I’ll say this: the Habs did do some embellishing, but good lord are the Bruins a whiny bunch. Seems like every time they lose someone is crying their eyes out over some grand injustice, which is particularly ironic considering they’re right up there with the dirtiest teams in the league. Even on the ice they’re constantly whining about something. The only thing embarrassing to the game is how they refuse to admit that every now and then they just simply get outplayed.

Whoa. Minus the diving and theatrics, I actually really like Subban as a player when he plays hard. Love to hate him, but I can admit I’d love to have him on my team.

But you clearly didn’t watch the game, because Marchand offered to go. Twice. Subban decided to skate away from it.

Disgraceful? Please how is this any different from any of the sloppy ass Pens Flyers games we’ve seen over the past few years where is seems like the entire game consists of power plays? You should know better than most how many penalties get called when emotions run high. Not making any excuses for the B’s, it was just a hard hitting emotional game that they lost, just hoping they get their sh!t together and play smarter next time.

He broke his stick in half cross checking Seguin 3 seconds after he passed the puck, then went and hid in the corner. When you take cheap shots at the top players on the other team, why wouldn’t you have to answer for that?

How can you get blind sided by 6′ 9″ guy skating from center ice all the way to the corner? He “held his own” by turtling. You make it sound like Emelin can’t defend himself. Maybe he can, maybe he can’t. But if he wants to take cheap shots like that he better be ready for someone to respond. I don’t understand how you can defend his actions there.

Marchand is an idiot for sure, and he really didn’t need to do that at all. I think Prust will be ok though.

I didn’t really see Subban and Marchand dancing around, but I doubt either player was going to drop the gloves. You can make Marchand out to be a coward all you want. But you’re guy Subban is just as much of a coward with all the embellishment and such. I’m surprised he doesn’t have whiplash from jerking his head back so fast.

Look, this was a great game to watch, both teams got some lucky bounces on the goals which probably evened out. It’s just frustrating to watch Montreal lower the game of hockey with the embellishment.
