A win against a good team like Montreal with Vokoun in net tonight could really get them back on track. They’re still tied for the most wins in the east and third overall wins in the league, they just haven’t been able to take some of their losses to overtime like other teams have. I’d rather them have to be competing night in and night out than get to a point where they’re a little too comfortable and slack off. That’s what happened last year and it didn’t get them very far.

Just look at what kind of defenseman we have behind him. Morrow is the same kind of defenseman. And Martin and Niskanen too. I would love to keep him but his trade value is a lot higher than anyone else’s if we want to get something good in return.
