The Canucks owned the kings all night. The Sedins made both doughty and kopitar look foolish on the same shift where they hemmed the Kings in their own zone for multiple minutes. sestito beats Nolan down. Great game all Around. First game this year the Canucks looked like the presidents trophy champions. Dominant in all three zones with contributions from all over the lineup.

The entire Canuck organization have no direction. One year they turn the other cheek and let the pp be the enforcer….the next they say they haven’t changed direction while acquiring big guys who can fight….and now they are just going after goons, Sestito and Pinnizotto? Snake oil salesman…exactly! Too many lawyers and not enough hockey men have been left to embarrass the hockey aspirations, joy and overall gaiety of Vancouver’s proud hockey history. It’s starting to look like the President’s Trophy may find a new home soon enough…what then will be left to clutter an otherwise uncluttered trophy case we’re left to ponder?

YEAH, SURE GILLIS !

The bottom line friends,is that you’re liable to get more straight talk from Osama Bin Laden than this “snake oil” salesman! Whatever this phoney says needs to be turned upside down, if your hope was to glean even a kernel of truth from his contrived utterances. The bottom line is that Gillis has pushed Kesler too far, as he’s done with countless others … and now he’s going to pay for that.

Kessler had the one good game against Dallas.he wasn’t able to use his speed in the other games and now we know why. The guy is a heart and soul player.

So that is more than 3 games but Kesler was trying to work through it after the first scans didn’t show anything.

I can see how it’d be further injured by playing on it and blocking more shots or doing similar things that’d cause the fracture to be more visible. Don’t know who chose to do what scans when, but the last one appears to have been done to reassure Kesler, but then his agent said this after they found out it was injured:

@benkuzma: More Kesler’s agent on whether client knew foot was broken: “He didn’t want to know. He’s in denial about his injuries.”

Curious how this relates to the fact that he played 3 games before the injury was ‘found.’ I recall reading it took 3 CT scans before they found the fracture, although I’m not sure if it was Kesler who initiated these medical exams or if he was pushed by the team. If he delayed it, you can’t help but imagine management is getting quite sore at how Kesler has managed and revealed his injuries.
