Seems like he would garner a high price and for what? A 3rd liner who can help the PP? The top two lines are set and I don’t think Alfredsson is a 3rd liner with his experience and skills. Interdivision trades are tough too.

I wouldn’t mess with the chemistry on this team right now. Who would the Bruins have to part with to get him? I would give them much, he’s a rental at best with a lot of miles on him.

He would be 3rd line material on the Bs..it’s not a bad thing. They aren’t touching the first two lines. Their only ‘hole’ is on the 3rd line. As for the PP, I honestly don’t know how they would utilize him. It would be an improvement though.

Except he isn’t a 3rd line player, he’s a Top 6 guy.
Claude refuses to play anyone with offensive talent on the PP so I’m fairly certain he wouldn’t be on the first unit either.

third line and PP..good fit there. they use players interchangeably a lot of the time..not sure I want to go the alfredsson route but I wouldn’t complain if it happened. it would be an upgrade for sure.

Why would either team do it? Where would he even play on the B’s?
