Agreed. That McGinn trade is going to haunt us for years. In my opinion McGinn was a much better version of Ryan clowe. McGinn is actually developing into a 2nd line forward.

If the sharks don't turn it around soon they are going to have to trade away some big first liners. At this point I think the only safe player on the sharks is couture

Sj,

I agree with you for the most part. I love burns playing, i agree he is still hurt. Boyle is great on the power play, although he needs to shoot more. His offensive skills once in the zone are great as well.

Wilson has defiantly lost it. The adam burish signing was a joke. Seems like a great guy, he has not performed well though. The fact he traded mcginn for winnik and galliardi, then let winnik walk was a mistake.

At this point i do not know who to blame. Wilson, T Mac or the players. It is rough in San Jose right now.

Yes I know the entire team is very inconsistent right now (minus niemi) but I don't trust clowe with the puck carrying into the offensive zone. If he ever got his feet moving and was down below the goal line he can be decent on the boards. However this season clowe has been ineffective in the offensive zone. As for burns turning the puck over he is obviously still hurt and so I will cut him a break. And yes Boyle turns the puck over quite a bit through the neutral zone but his offensive ability in the zone is fantastic.

I think the sharks need something to shake up the lineup right now. Now if that is a coaching change or a trade is yet to be determined (I personally think Doug Wilson has lost it). The sharks need to correct themselves and they need to do it quickly. It's getting pretty hard to watch sharks hockey right now

I like Clowe but ultimately we need to start looking at overhauling this lineup. Clowe, Boyle, and Murray need to go. I like the physical play of Clowe and Murray but you have to put the puck in the net. Boyle drives me crazy with his horrid passing and his silly fake slap shot he does on every powerplay.

Sj,

Thats why i said he has had a bad 2 years. One good season? Look at his stats. 17+ goals and 30+ assists a year. I would dare to call him the Lucic of the west. They can score and fight. Every team needs a player like that, the sharks have theirs.

You act like clowe is the only one turning the puck over. What about burns and boyle? They're doing the exact same thing. Thats why it is time for a coaching change. Everyone is tired of watching the dump and change.

This kinda hurts a little. Clowe has been a good player for the Sharks for a while, but his numbers were off last year and this year he's piling dumb decision upon dumb decision. And not scoring. I get that the Sharks really don't have a true enforcer, but if that's the role you want to play, at least be a little smarter about it.

Really? He had one awesome season and one above average season. Yes he sticks up for teammates, but he does not perform on the ice. Clowe will bring the puck in the zone, do a button hook and turn the puck over. Watch a game and maybe you will have a more intelligent comment

I see him as Kunitz 2.0. I'd love him on the Pens, it gives Malkin a legit winger and it allows Bennett to move to Sid's line. I could see him re-signing for about $3.5 million a year as well. My question is what would be a fair return for him? Maybe TK and a 2nd or something like that?

I wouldn't mind seeing him in the Penguins top 6. He probably will fall in that 3-4 million per year range and if the Penguins don't resign Kennedy his price could fit under next years cap. Clowe is usually good for around 20 goals/50+ points and about 10 fights a year. Playing the style he does and being 30 years old he is on the down hill side of his career, but should still have a few productive years lefts. I think the gamble would be worth it on a trade this year and the potential of resigning him.
