I can not fathom the reality that The Great Brodeur, who just led his Devils to a Cup Final in 1995, 2000, 2001, 2003, and again in 2012 (winning 3) is going to retire within 2 years.
Simply heartbreaking. What a sad day it will be when the Devils retire his #30. Can’t accept the reality of this.

Marty’s the man, everyone knows it. But he won’t be around forever, hopefully Kinkaid makes a good case for trying to replace a legend by racking up some wins for the devils.

Marty at his older age is still a great goaltender its unbelievable ! As a flyers fan I never gave him his just due because of the system that they employed around him and did not want to believe I was watching greatness beat my team consistently ! That being said Marty made the system the system did not make Marty ! He made great saves in last years playoffs ,I mean some were still just WOW I can’t believe he stopped that shot ! He has the aura of he could just play forever very few players have that ! It was so frustrating when he was at the top of his career literally you could tell within the first 10 minutes of a game you were not gonna beat him and the flyers still can’t beat him at 40 ! I don’t know what is left of his career but man what a career ! A great, great, great goaltender !

Well…according to NJ.com, Lou said the doctors saw nothing serious, they just don’t want him making the far trip to Winnipeg with a sore back. Makes sense.
