How is that hard to understand?!

Not everyone wants to live out east or west, buried in concrete. (that’s not a knock, just reality) There are folks in this country that enjoy the simple life the midwest offers, the only downside of the upper midwest is the winters if you don’t enjoy the sometimes bitter cold. Luckily most do and play hockey, go ice fishing, snowmobiling, ski – snowboard.. etc.

If you were offered $100 million to play the sport you love, in your home town or close by, wouldn’t you? MN doesn’t offer the best option to win now, but they can (not great odds but it is possible). Wild prject well in two – three years. Time will tell if they made the right hockey choice, but they made the correct life choice for them and the people that they care most for

Never understood why they picked Minnesota.
Yeah I know they got a lot of money but they could of gotten a lot of money from teams that are 1) actually good. 2) aren’t located in the middle of nowhere. Or even both

Or Parise could score the overtime game winner a few hours after you go on your bitter ranting spree and the Wild end the night second in their division-just like the New Jersey Devils. The only difference is that the Wild are 5-2-1 in their last eight games and finally getting on track and the Devils are 3-4-1 in their last eight and just put their starting goalie on IR.

I am curious to see how it all shakes out…

PARISE = PARASITISM ?

The writer of this article sums it up perfectly by saying that good teams “always” find a way to gain control in the attacking zone. Succumbing to the status quo and offering up lame excuses is not what a “winner” does! (eg: an LA King) … and it certainly isn’t what someone receiving a 100 million dollars does! Rather, a true winner (eg: an LA King) will first assess the situation and then apply a winning strategy accordingly, without hesitation or compromise. While it’s amusing to poke fun at these overpaid “parasites” like Parise, I do seriously feel for the good, decent “hockey-loving” folk of Minnesota. They’re as knowledgeable and passionate about the game as anyone and they’re loyal. The bottom line is that Minnesotans deserve so much more. And so with any luck and God willing, Parise now either shapes up or he ships out !

Yes goals lead to wins and that’s all that matters but just because parise isn’t raking up the pts doesn’t mean he isn’t playing well. You of all people should know he’s a two way player so if he’s not scoring he’s playing d the pts will come.

Points don’t mean everything. He’s playing with new guys he’s never played with before. Anyone who’s ever played hockey before(which you obviously haven’t) knows it takes time to pick up the system and chemistry with team mates. By your reasoning since parise is 85th in pts he must be the 85th best player in hockey? Good one. Just like your boy Patrick Elias is tied for 10th makes him 10th best in the league. This is a national sports site. If it really did draw primarily Wild fans, then why would the Wild move to Houston? Certainly not for a lack on interest. You’re throwing out so many lame barbs that you’re contradicting yourself, and nobody thinks you know what you’re talking about.
