Montreal forward Rene Bourque has a concussion, the club confirmed today.

How he got it is another story.

Bourque doesn’t know.

Neither does the team, which originally thought he had the flu.

As such, Canadiens coach Michel Therrien was “shocked” when he learned the concussion diagnosis, according to the Globe and Mail’s David Shoalts.

Bourque, 31, has five goals and five assists in 17 games. The Habs say his status is day-to-day.
