Boy it would take big brass ones to deal Perry like that.

I have to expect it would be to an Eastern team especially if the Ducks are heading towards a playoff spot – imagine opening a first round series against the team that acquired him at the deadline?

That being said I am guessing there is a large handful of teams that would throw everything but the kitchen sink at the Ducks if they’re going to be dealing Perry.

Perry wil likely be moved. Question is: what will the Ducks want in return? I am guessing a roster player and some picks and prospects. Presumably this would have to be a trade and sign as no team would want to give away a bunch of assets and lose Perry. Would love to see him in an Isles uni but don’t know if Garth would make that kind of move or if Perry would sign with the Isles. If the Isles don’t get him, I hope he stays in the West.

if they lock up these two then the free agency market gets pretty thin next year. perry’s value will probably be based on his past performance despite his slow start to this year and the team’s success in spite of it.
