The St. Louis Blues are starting to get things together, especially now that Jarsolav Halak seems to be over his groin injury.
After a tough 1-0 OT loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday, Halak won in his second game back as the Blues beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 on Saturday. The Blues would’ve been forced into overtime once again if Halak, 27, didn’t make this unusual stop:
Halak provided his perspective on that save to NHL.com’s Lou Korac:
“I just tried to reach for it,” Halak said. “It came out, but lucky for us, our guys were there after.”

Columbus should have won that game, they outworked us the entire game. Halak stole that one for us, he made several wicked saves when our D wasnt doing their job and clearing the zone.
