It’s hard to rediscover your game when you’ve had your knees, hips, head and jaw surgically fixed and re-attached to your body on multiple occasion.

As a side note, can we change the name of the children’s song “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” to “The DiPietro”?

Joe is just rehashing the company line which Cappy has also been repeating: they are giving RDP a chance to find his game. Thing is, he’s been trying to do that the last 5 years and hasn’t succeeded. He’s tried on the Island a half dozen or more times. He’s tried in Bridgeport before. Heck, he’s even gone to Germany. He has not had a season with a save % above .900 since 2008. He has only reached that plateau once. He may get one more shot in Bridgeport at getting his game back but I would be astonished if he comes back to the Island to play again. At some point even the Bridgeport idea has to end because Anders Nilsson’s career has to be given priority.

I say if he does well in the minors they should offer him a 10 year extension. Just makes sense…..

They won’t buy him out as they use his contract to help get to the salary cap floor.

I feel like they won’t buy him out this year, they should just do it and get it over with. Maybe next season.
