First- Hartnell was just trying to get the officials to call stuff, even though it probably was an accident. Second- Hartnell grows his hair real long, then when he cuts it, donates it to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients, so him growing it long has its benefits. Kane, pulling out Hartnell’s hair, is screwing over cancer patients and should be punished for that. Now let the less stupid comments commence.

As a flyers fan, this is a stupid issue. it’s the job of the officials to pick up on this stuff. if it doesn’t get called by a official, hartnell needs to shut up and move on.

Milbury is just smart and dislikes the Pens…..it’s not that he likes the Flyers like that. As for Pierre…….he should wear a Crosby, Malkin or a combo jersey because he is beyond deep throating those two every time he is calling the Pens games. He is on there sacks hardcore yet Pens fans think he dislikes them……amazing. As for Hartnell and his long hair. ….I agree in most sports like Hockey and Football that it should have to fit in your helmet, otherwise you are on your own if someone grabs it or it gets caught up. At the same time I could see Kane grabbing it like a Pens player grabbed Hartnell’s hair in a fight in the playoffs……but Kane will cry racism because he thinks no one likes him because he is black …..not realizing we just don’t like him. Has nothing to do with being black. Simmer gets a ton of praise for just being a hockey player. Jets fans even dislike Kane and his attitude, that says a ton about his charcter.

I think long hair should be banned in the NHL. It is very dangerous to have long hair more of a chance to get injured.

I think it just depends on the situation. If Kane (or whomever) intentionally goes to try and pull Hartnell’s hair, then Kane (or whomever) is in the wrong. You shouldn’t pull hair just like you shouldn’t bite or poke eyes. That’s not fair and is a cheap move. BUT, if a player is simply trying to get a hold on the player’s jersey and happens to grab a chunk full of hair, then the long haired player should just move on and not complain about it. The back of the jersey right behind the head is the prime position for a fighter to get hold on their opponent. In that case, your hair is just an extension of your uniform.

And Hartnell hasn’t really “complained” about it to the media, he just tried to draw a penalty on the ice which players do all the time. The on-ice mic just happened to pick it up.

Yeah teeth are sharp, hockey gloves are created to withstand a skate stomp.

It takes a lot to bite through skin without anything protecting it.

Plus on the video there is nothing to even hint a bite. I think letang hurt his finger from the fall. Seems more likely because you would wear a splint from jamming your finger, not from it being bitten

If your gonna complain about people pulling your hair then get it cut, god im not saying he should be pulling hartnells hair but if your hartnell you shouldnt be complaining, you could cut it if you really wanted to and you dont so stop complaining, if the league thinks there is a problem with what he is donig they will suspend him, otherwise just shut up.

But for the pens fans who are calling him a biter and a wimp for talking about it, letang not only complained about the bite that he had a glove on for, but wore a splint and a bandage after.
