NEW YORK, NY - MAY 23: Michael Del Zotto #4 of the New York Rangers warms-up prior to the game against the New Jersey Devils in Game Five of the Eastern Conference Final during the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at Madison Square Garden on May 23, 2012 in New York City. The New York Rangers were already limping into Saturday’s game against the Canadiens in Montreal without Rick Nash, but it turns out Michael Del Zotto isn’t playing either, according to Ranger Rants.

The 24-year-old defenseman was walking around with a noticeable limp after Thursday’s loss against the Ottawa Senators. New York Newsday indicates that he’s dealing with a hip injury.

Del Zotto has seven points in 16 games this season, although he’s been ice cold lately, with just an assist in his last 10 contests.

It’s not all bad news for the struggling Rangers, however. There was a chance Marc Staal might have missed tonight’s game because of flu-like symptoms, but he opted to fight through them.
