Umm he has a cap hit of 1 mill if I am not mistaken… He is a great leader and easily a top 6 forward on every team in the league. Who would not be interested in him? The GM already said it might just take a 2nd and 3rd round pick for him. I just do not see the sens saying they are dead until its official so maybe they trust Anderson and Alfie to push them to the playoffs.

Spelling is a major concern to me. I would hate to make a spelling mistake and have the whole blogging community shun me. My career as a professional journalist is finished. I was saying that Alfie is old and washed up is not smart. And yes there are a lot of dumb Pens fans on this site. please feel free to correct my grammer and spelling on a sports site.

I could see Alfie coming to Swedish friendly Detroit…a fit he’d like! I would propose Kyle Quincey, a freezer full of gently used octopi and a weed filled vacant lot hard on the Detroit river in trade straight across for Danny Boy [ the Cups, the Cups are calling ]…?

Not so sure about Alfie being to old. Have you watched him on the ice this year. His puck control is second to none (ok maybe Datsyuk) and he has not lost a step. He would be a top 6 forward on any team in the league. Having said that you Don’t trade god. Alfie is not going anywhere.

Hope the Pens would be smart enough to pass. He’s too old. Unless they can get him for some scrap picks it wouldn’t be worth it. I don’t think they’d trade him to Boston or Pittsburgh based on the fact those two teams could easily be facing the Sens if they get a playoff spot. You wouldn’t want Alfie to turn around and screw you over if you do make it.
