We do the chants because it’s fun. We’re loud, and yeah we do play mind games. We like the opposing team to feel the heat and the opposing goaltenders to know we plan to beat them. We aren’t the only team to do it, and certainly not the last.

But after the game is done, we still respect the Wings as a rival team. We’re not screaming obscenities. We’re not throwing things at your players. After the game is done we don’t tell opposing teams fans to get the hell out (unless they’re starting disturbances, like the good ol’ Sharks fan that started throwing punches in the stands a few games back). We’re a rowdy crowd and having fun.

So relax, cepheus. I’m sure the Wings fans will taunt the Predators when they come to Detroit too in a few days, so you’ll have that to look forward to. Oh, and let’s not forget the standing ovation, tribute video and the Tootoo whistles that came out for Jordin Tootoo’s first time back in the building…and the same (sans whistles) for Steve Sullivan when he came back with the Coyotes a few nights ago.

It’s all a game. Don’t take it too personally.

You Wings fans are lucky to have him. I’d kill for us to get a Datsyuk.

Nashville is a defense first system and we suffer because of that. We don’t have flashy forwards and we struggle on scoring, but that’s because everyone is expected to pitch in and everyone has not been pitching in, but are doing a bit better now. We have about $16 million in cap space, but we don’t want to spend it because I don’t think we want to trade a lot of our young talent for a scoring forward that may or may not work out (See: When Predators acquired Peter Forsberg, Alexander Radulov, etc.)

The Red Wings are a fantastic group even when they’re crippled by injury and it showed last night. Good on them. They were a hard team to beat as always and I love watching Preds v Wings games.

Don’t hate. There’s no reason for it. Respect between two teams. Wings will be fine, and so will the Preds.

Four-on-one means (at least to me) there are 4 attackers on the 1 defender…symantics, i know…but reading the headline, i said, “…okay? So what?”
