Replay should be available in every sport not to remedy every officiating error, but just the mistakes that are easily correctable and crucial to the game's outcome. Not doing this is pathetic and shows the unwillingness of leagues to evolve and change. The NFL constantly evolves, that's why it pulls in 10 billion a year. The other sports don't, that's why they're locked out and can't garner the same following.

No way you can have replay in this league other than what they have now on goals.
Where would they stop at making rulings? A player interfering on the far side, a slash at the blue line, etc.?
The only thing I think they should expand replay to is too many men on the ice, that would be an easy, cut and dried call.

First Challenge loss is a 2 Min Bench Minor, 2nd wrong challenge maybe a Double 2 Min Bench Minor? Or a "3 Min Bench Minor"? The PP time can carry over in to OT.

You get 2 challenges in regulation, none in regular season OT, and one in a postseason OT... If the coach is wrong the 2nd time he gets a "3 minute Bench Minor"

The only good way an offsides challenge would work, is if the player who was offsides is the shooter and had not passed the puck in that zone, aka a breakaway or a two on one.
The problem with any other offside challenges would be if the puck is brought in the zone, and after over a minute of play a goal is scored. Then the coach could go back and negate the entire play. An NHL coach cant blow a play dead from the bench. Its not like the NFL where a play goes dead after a TD, a player goes out of bounds, or he is tackled. In tennis, if a player continues play on a ball he/she felt was out then they surrender any challenge ability.

The NHL would have to be creative on this to work, but there is a way I'm sure with where a coach can only challenge within 4 seconds (etc...) of the player going in to the zone.

Or some sort of penalization if the coach is wrong by either making it where the team would lose their Timeout orrrrrrrrrr perhaps......... a 2 Minute Minor????????
