Not even pretending to be impartial about this - but this, for me, is way more about Read than Hartnell - and sheckyrimshot, it was Laviolette that had two RW's on Giroux's line last game, numbnuts, not mine, so don't give me the LW/RW crap unless you have a clue where you are going with it. Lots of LW/RW's are switched.

Flyers just signed Hartnell to a LT extension and he's never shown near the productivity that he did on Giroux's line. To that extent Giroux hasn't shown it either, outside of one game. Putting him lower down doesn't even seem like a question worth answering. Giroux and Voracek are both set up men. 12 points, mostly due to a 4 point game this week, but only 3 goals. Giroux's not known as a finisher either. Hartnell has to stay - does it make sense to have both Voracek and Giroux setting up Hartnell? Not to me - keep Read on the line as the RW (I understand that puts Simmonds on the third line). Actually my point is that Read has been the most consistent piece on that team, way undervalued. You have him for two more years and CAN bury him on the third line with an underperforming center, but why? He's scoring on the third, doing very well, give him a shot. If Voracek is really your point-winner, spread the scoring. You need more than one scoring line, and Briere can be a set-up man and a scorer both. Point - Voracek has points, not goal. Giroux needs Hartnell and Read.

GROW UP, IT'S A COMMENT SECTION! hahahahahaha. And my comment addressed the article, PERIOD. THIS is why people hate Flyers fans...

Point is (and I know you guys seemed to have missed it)...the Flyers won ONE in a row. Are you REALLY going to not put Hartnell back on the Giroux line?

I think Laviolette needs to keep the Read-Giroux-Voracek line together to see if they can continue to build chemistry. With Lavy switching the lines up so much in search of a spark he hasn't allowed anyone to build a rhythm, but that top line was dynamic against the Islanders. If they continue to play well you can't break them up. When Hartnell returns I'd place him on Couturier's wing. This would provide even more balance through the lineup and allow Hartnell to ease his way back, instead of throwing him into the fire on the top line. Plus Schenn, Briere, and Simmonds showed that they can be a productive a second line. No question Hartnell will be a welcome addition but I wouldn't expect him to be his 37-goal self right off the bat.
