Disagree…I believe Quincey was moving towards Seto and had travelled enough of a distance for the sole purpose of annihilating a player that clearly was unsuspecting – and instead he got a surprise. There is no firm definition of what that distance needs to be, and it’s not something that’s called very often unless it’s to settle an escalating match down a bit.

I’m honestly not a fan of either of these teams either…but if I’m Seto you’re damn straight I’m clocking this dude. I used Landeskog as the example before, but I’ll add it here. Even with a game suspension, should he get one (and I don’t believe he deserves it), it’s worth it.

First, let me say, I’m not a fan of either team so I’m indifferent on this one, but I think you are way off by thinking this is charging. Charging would require Quincy to target Seto and travel a distance (build momentum) in order to level him. Quincy didn’t even stride towards him, he glided then they made contact. Granted, he was going to try and crush Seto before he could even realize what was happening, but that isn’t illegal. Not even close to charging.

Keep in mind that even if they suspend him a game, he’s probably back sooner than if he took the hit. Just ask Landeskog…I’d have much rather seen him get his stick up on Stuart.

As the video shows….CLEARLY he isn’t. Quincey was about to charge him, which is illegal. Not a punk play, any more than Quincey’s was – however it was just as illegal. If Seto was my boy I would congratulate his reaction time after the game. No one HAS to get hit from the blindside.

I certainly don’t see anything worth suspending…that whole thing happened way too quick. To be honest what I saw was Quincey all ramped up in full stride about to charge an unsuspecting player with his head turned, and instead got a healthy dose of poetic justice. I realize we don’t like to discuss charging, though. I actually gained a good bit of respect for Seto’s hand eye coordination with this one. Ninja.

I’m a Wild fan first off. I don’t think there was any intent. He turned at the last second and it was more reaction than anything. I think he’ll get fined.

Having said that…. If he did get suspended, I wouldn’t mind, only because I wanna see Johan Larsson and Jason Zucker get another chance to both be in the lineup on Thursday…. haha

It was a reaction, it was not malicious in my opinion. Penalty warranted, fine possible to send a message, but that is it. I don’t think anyone wants to get blindsided and Seto was going to get popped when he turned.
