But he has been extremely impressive. When Reimer got hurt against the Flyers I thought for sure it would open the door for a few Flyers goals. Obviously that didn’t happen. But aside from the Flyers ineptitude in that game, Scrivens was an impenetrable wall. There were several sure fire goals that he stopped (and made it look easy) and he’s not skipped a beat since then. Could it be that the Reimer-Scrivens combo is good enough to carry Toronto? Before the season the general consensus would be “hell no” but it’s looking possible. Right now it’s up to health for Reimer and consistency for Scrivens if either one wants to be the next CUJO or Potvin.

You can’t act like they weren’t trying. Scrivens and the Leafs had to earn that shutout, and it wasn’t easy. I know the Panthers aren’t a good team this year, but they played hard tonight. The Leafs just played harder.

Oh, yeah, and the Leafs look great this year. Frattin, JVR, Kadri, Bozak, relative newcomer Kostka, Liles, Reimer, now Scrivens – basically everyone who isn’t Phil Kessel is rocking it right now.
