Hey miketoasty ive said this once, ill say it again. I have been reading this site for years without saying a word on these boards. But when I see a flyers article posted I know for a fact hockeywithdroolor somw other troll is going to say something idiotic that has nothing to do with him or the city of pittsburgh. I would love to have real, infelligent hockey conversations but thats not possible so you know what they say, if you cant beat em join em. My comments are dumb and annoying but so are everyone elses. Just go look at who the first comment is on todays flyers game story and you will understand what im talking about, hes non stop.

I agree that it is a good rivalry, and as a fan of a Western conference team, I really don’t hate either the Pens or Flyers. In fact, both teams have players that I like and dislike. It’s just crazy how every article turns into the same comments section. Hopefully they play again in this year’s playoffs, because who doesn’t want to see that?! And hopefully the internet doesn’t explode.

I wasn’t trying to be funny in calling you a turd, just honest. I pictured that irrelevant little turd sitting at the bottom of the bowl hanging around for the second flush.

So please, address the decreased attendance issue the Flyers had in the early to mid-90′s. You can then let me know how points/goals are the sole measure of a hockey player. Then go watch some Flyers games and let me know how Voracek is not a maturing 23 year old showing some advanced abilities. You may want to watch him carry the puck and admire his “vision” for the ice. I agree he is not a star yet but he is definitely showing some serious upside that probably was stunted in hockey purgatory (Columbus- based on previous posts I am not sure you would have known that).

Voracek isnt anything special , and I dont even like Simmonds but I can assure you he’ll be alot more productive then “Coots” as far as scoring production. , referring to someone as a turd is weak, if you’re going to call me a name , make it a funny one at least .

I severely doubt you make $150k but none the less that is not here nor there, and using how much you make to show how super awesome you are shows just how mad you are getting right now. Every stadium has it’s idiots, I agree…there’s just an abnormally high concentration of them located in the Philly area. The class of the Philly people is well known. You are a prime example. And honestly, outside of the “trading Nick Cousins” remark, had none of you Philly a-holes brought up the Pens, the Pens fans wouldn’t have responded. Why would we? We’re loving the Flyers performance (or lack thereof) this year! It does look like they might win today though.

This June will mark the 5th year since the Pens won the cup so either way you look at it we have won the cup inside of the last 5 years.

Also, no one said the Pens were going to win the cup, I believe they will but everyone thinks that their team is going to win the cup, every year. That’s called being a fan.

He’s right paresident21, that comment was in response to a comment from broadstreet. I certainly wouldn’t have brought up the Pens otherwise, nor would I have thought to bring my living conditions into the comment section the way you did (classy! hahaha).

It is no secret that I don’t like the Flyers, and it’s low-class support group fans are probably the biggest reason why (2nd being the dirty ‘style’ of the way they play). You and your comments are an excellent example of the former. Actually I was wrong – Philly fans were the worst AND second worst in that article…I think the writer sums it up best:

I was only addressing the Lemeiux incident. You didn’t touch on it so it was nuclear which incident you were referencing. Your response to me was the first from a Pens’ acknowledging the team intentionally lost games to draft Lemeiux. I do not believe that happened when they drafted MAF, Crosby, Malkin and Stahl in consecutive drafts, they were just a very bad team at the time ( I say that as a matter of fact, not tobe insulting).

Trust me 2013 is good to us (2nd in the league in points right now). We did only win 1 cup with 2 MVP caliber players but we also have 2 Stanley Cup final appearances. As for the years after that we have been riddled with injuries (especially to those 2 MVP caliber players) that have hampered us in the playoffs. What is a flyer fan doing talking about cups though 1975 righ a bell?? Since then you have had guys like richards and carter go through your town as a pit stop to winning the cup in LA.

So the first part about your article was about how the Pens “Tanked” to get Mario, which was never really a question.

Then the second half is all about getting Ovechkin, nowhere in there does it talk about Crosby or any of the other top 5 picks the Penguins went for/got.
