FYI, the Isles last year were pretty bad, and Streit easily logs the most ice time among Dmen, as well as I am sure the majority of the roster.

The guy can only do so much. Streit is easily one of the top Dmen in the league

He racks up easily more minutes than any other Islander and provides the bulk of their blueline offense. If he wasn’t always paired with inferior D, had better goaltending behind him and didn’t always feel the pressure to add offense, he’d be better defensively. In two years, Reinhart, Mayfield, Donovan and others will be there to take up the slack. Until then, Streiter is the guy.
