I can see it going both ways.
For schenn, his hit had 0 contact to the head and was really from the side not from behind.
For Gallager, the player needs to let up when you see the numbers. This should have been called but for 2 mins only

Should of been a penalty for boarding but I don’t think that’s suspension worthy.
