Watch: Does the Lightning’s Stamkos have eyes in the back of his head?

Feb 16, 2013, 6:47 PM EDT

The Tampa Bay Lightning snapped a six-game losing skid Saturday with a 6-5 overtime win against the Florida Panthers, but it was the incredible pass from Steven Stamkos to Teddy Purcell that sent the game to the extra period.

From behind the net, Stamkos found Purcell wide open in the slot with a no-look behind-the-back backhand pass.

Benoit Pouliot scored in overtime to give Tampa Bay its first win since Feb. 1.

living in Tampa, I have had the priviledge of watching this kid mature and go from the now infamous quote from melrose to being one of the most dominant players in all of hockey. I would take him over any player in hockey today, including a Crosby. amazing puck skills, rifle shot, and plays both ends well. and his best years are in front of him. The NHL should give him 10x the run he gets.
