The Minnesota Wild lost to the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 in a shootout Thursday, and may have also lost forward Cal Clutterbuck, who reportedly left the game with an undisclosed injury.

Milan Hejduk, who celebrated his 37th birthday Thursday, scored in the second period and then tallied in the shootout – as did Matt Duchene.

“There was a couple of guys who asked me this morning what I wanted for my birthday. I said, ‘I’d like to have a win and put a smile on everyone’s face in the locker room,’” Hejduk told NHL.com.

“That happened, so it’s cool. It will definitely be a more pleasant flight to Edmonton.”
