The team is actually the Regina Pats and they aren’t really that legendary. As far as junior teams in the WHL go, they are very mediocre and consistently miss the playoffs. I don’t think they have won a Memorial Cup since the early 70s.

wiz that was funny, a lot of the times i tune out announcers because they are annoying. last night i just remember hearing ” all you can eat hotdogs” and just thinking wtf are they talking about?!

Interesting. Thanks for the clarification. Pierre and Doc should probably have been talking about the actual NHL teams who were playing in THIS contest though; not some irrelevant minor league BS. If they had done that, they probably wouldn’t have botched the faceoff play calling leading up to the Tatar goal. But that’s about par for the course with that broadcasting team. They’re more interested in feeding us mindless drivel about what team so and so played for when he was 10 years old and how that team’s coach’s dog only had 3 legs, half a tail and one blue eye. Or some other irrelevant BS about a healthy scratch player for Montreal way back when, who ate hot dogs in the press box before a game one time and then got called on to play when there was a pre-game injury. Then they can laugh laugh laugh….oh! And a goal by Tatar!!!

impressed by the resolve after the shaky start by the D and Allen. This is getting back to the hockey that we have been seeing from the Blues. The redwings of course played a great game… Datsyuk just messing with Allen on that behind the net shot.
